On a hazy summer day, Atkin hired a NYC based parasail boat to get this aerial photograph of the venerable QE2 arriving in NYC.

100 year old Tug Pegasus,  built 1907. In its day; a powerful tugboat or "battleship tug", now sails as an educational platform teaching the legacy of NY Harbor. (www.tugpegasus.org)
  
In 5 hours of cold December flying, Aerial photographer Atkin followed Aircraft Carrier Intrepid's journey from Manhattan to Drydock in Staten Island.
